7 easy hacks to make your meetings more efficient

1. Before you schedule a meeting, make sure this meeting is necessary. 90% of all meetings are useless. Make sure you NEED this meeting to move to the next level or find a solution to a problem.

2. Meetings should not be longer than 30 minute. Set up a timer and stop the meeting after 25 minutes. Take the last 5 to summarise the next steps and responsibilities.

3. Stand up! Sitting down will just make you feel more comfortable and you want be in the urge of finishing as fast as possible.

4. Don't allow computers. A meeting with computers is not a meeting, it's a working session. Bring a paper and a pen to take notes, that's more than enough

5. Prepare an agenda BEFORE the meeting. Cut down your agenda to max 5 points you want to discuss. 

6. Invite as few people as possible. Try to avoid huge meetings where everybody is involved. Keep it under 3/4 people.

7. One person should be responsible to determine if the meetings is going out of topic. Whenever team members get distracted or start on a new topic, this person should scream SH*T THE **** UP... Or something nicer. But the point should be clear: focus on the topic.
